Our summer program is at the core of our hiring efforts. It is designed to give you a realistic look at our practice and the lawyers with whom you will work and to give us a sense of you and your potential as both a practitioner and colleague.

Summers at Squire Sanders are built on hands-on experience. Students regularly participate in every aspect of the practice of law, from complex research to building client relationships. Assignments to multiple practice areas allow summer associates to explore our diverse practice groups and provide an opportunity for summer associates to meet lawyers with a variety of professional backgrounds and expertise. You get to know them; they get to know you.   

Each year we look for new ways to expand our summer experience. As an international law firm, it is essential that we expose potential associates to a global legal atmosphere. This sometimes means allowing summer associates to experience the practice of law outside of the United States.

Currently, Squire Sanders has summer positions available in nine of our US offices, as well as Tokyo. The programs in each of these offices are as dynamic as the cities themselves and include outside social, cultural and athletic activities to help you get to know us and our communities.
